The activity, organized by ProChile, will tour cities such as Washington D.C., San Francisco, Miami, and New York with the objective of positioning Chile as a regional hub for technological services and opening new commercial opportunities in the main destination market for these exports.

ProChile kicked off in Washington D.C. the Chile Tech Tour 2025  Connecting Chile & U.S. Innovation, a tour that will take place from October 6 to 10 and not only in Washington D.C., but will also visit other cities such as San Francisco, Miami, and New York. The event will feature the participation of 27 startups and Chilean companies and aims to strengthen the presence of national technological services and solutions in their main export market.

The Chile Tech Tour is an initiative organized by ProChile, aiming to position our country as a hub of innovation and services in Latin America, showcasing the talent and capability of national companies to compete in a highly demanding global environment. The delegation includes companies from sectors such as agrotech, climatech, fintech, digital health, education, and creative services, reflecting the diversity and sophistication of the local ecosystem.

The United States is Chile's main strategic partner in Services. In 2024, for example, Chilean exports in the sector reached a record of US$ 2.870 billion, growing by over 160% in the last five years. Of that total, US$ 954 million were aimed at the U.S., further solidifying this country as the leading market for knowledge and technology-intensive services.

The Chile Tech Tour is the embodiment of our vision for the country: to diversify our export matrix, strengthen value chains, and open new opportunities for Chilean SMEs and startups. Today, Chile not only exports world-class products such as salmon, wine, or fruits; it also exports talent, innovation, and services that respond to the challenges of sustainability, digitization, and global competitiveness, stated Ignacio Fernández, General Director of ProChile.

Activity Program

During their visit to Washington D.C., the delegation will hold meetings with authorities, guilds, and institutions, including a meeting at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the largest chamber of commerce in the world and a key player in strengthening the bilateral relationship.

In San Francisco, Chilean companies will participate in the San Francisco Tech Week, alongside trade associations Agrotech Chile, Climatech Chile and CORFO's Entrepreneurship Management, where they will present their solutions to investors, accelerators and innovation platforms such as Berkeley SkyDeck and Stanford Sustainability Accelerator.

Finally, in New York, meetings will take place with counterparts in the technology world, venture capital, and they will get to know more about their ecosystem.
