Fuuga opens its first facility grant call for arts and culture operators

Fuuga under construction (2024), Entreprenerd Media

The goal is to make the music hall, opening in the autumn, a place where all kinds of music can find a home and where content appealing to diverse audiences is widely represented.

The Turku Music Hall Fuuga is opening its doors to diverse and high-quality content through a new facility grant. The first application round runs from April 20 to May 8, 2026, and is aimed at local, non-profit music and cultural operators.

The facility grant supports the organization of events at Fuuga by covering venue rental costs as well as staff service expenses related to events.

The grant also enables the realization of artistically high-quality productions that would otherwise be too expensive under market-based rental conditions.

Two application categories for different operators

The grant model includes two applicant categories:

Category A: is intended for professional, non-profit music organizations with year-round operations, significant state funding, and a valid agreement with the city. In this category, the support fully covers Fuuga’s venue rental and event staff service costs.

Category B: is intended for other non-profit arts and cultural operators. The support covers 75%, 50%, or 25% of Fuuga’s venue rental and event staff service costs.

A total of €60,000 has been allocated for the facility grant for the remainder of 2026. Funding decisions will be made during May.

Future application rounds twice a year

For 2026, the application period begins on April 20 and ends on May 8, 2026, at 16:00. Applications must be submitted via the online form at: lomakkeet.turku.fi

In the future, Fuuga’s facility grant can be applied for twice a year. The main annual call will take place in October (October 1-31), covering venue and staff costs for events throughout the following year. In addition, a supplementary call will be held in March-April for events in the latter part of the year.
