Turku is organizing a variety of activities for children and young people spending their autumn holidays from October 13 to 19.

The city’s museums offer delightful experiences exploring both history and nature. At the Children’s Cultural Center Färi, families can go on a museum adventure, while the Saaga section of the Main Library invites visitors to a fairytale-themed treasure hunt. Vimma will host art workshops, and Turku’s youth centers — together with the Kivaloma kulmilla activities — will provide a diverse range of local fun.

Turku’s autumn break: history, art, and stories

During the autumn holiday, Turku Castle will come alive with thousands of stories. The Little Knight Tours will take young visitors on treasure hunts, while older children can join the Horrors of History tour filled with thrilling tales. At the Biological Museum, visitors can marvel at the biodiversity of the Ruissalo grove.

Guided tours at the Pharmacy Museum and the Qwensel House reveal what life was like two centuries ago. The Luostarinmäki Museum Quarter offers an autumn stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town, and the Kuralan Kylämäki Village provides a perfect setting for a picnic in the countryside.
