To accelerate innovation cycles and respond to specific needs of partner companies, SOFOFA Hub, this associative program, promotes the first International Network of Scaleups for Chile. These technological enterprises, through their projects, aim to solve the challenges of various industries, in diverse areas such as mining, energy, forestry, metals, and food.
Alan Garcia, Executive Director of SOFOFA Hub, explained that this Venture Client model, which seeks to closely link the country's large companies with the innovation ecosystem of different countries and accelerate the scaling of technological startups, is based on the Finnish system, but with the necessary adjustments to suit local needs.
He added, "In this way, we have already managed to identify 23 technological challenges and conduct 26 tests, for which we have reviewed more than 320 technological solutions, originating from 37 countries, with representatives from Asia and North America, among other areas of the world."
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
To make this initiative a reality, strategic alliances with embassies from countries such as Canada, Australia, and Israel, have become the key, to which are added other institutions such as the EU LAC Digital Accelerator from Europe and Berlin Innovation Agency from Germany, among others.
"This international and national collaboration has allowed us to elevate Chile within the global innovation ecosystem, facilitating the reception of technological proposals from scaleups from various parts of the world and applying them in Chile so that in the future, the initiatives can scale up and materialize as a solution available for all the companies in the country," explains the executive.
With the generation of the International Network of Scaleups for Chile through the Venture Client SOFOFA Hub program, companies can address their challenges with lower risk and in a more agile way; manage new technologies originating from various countries; increase competitiveness and productivity with long-term partnerships, and promote technological scaling, with projects that can also be implemented in other organizations.
Alan García emphasizes that the collaborative nature of the model allows a solution to generate interest in more than one company, thus constituting a unique platform for scaling business in Chile and Latin America, attracting talents from around the world and accelerating the execution of projects, and being able to materialize them.
This is how the methodology developed by SOFOFA Hub emphasizes simplifying and facilitating the process for both companies and startups; it is designed to minimize common failures and create a suitable work framework for both.
