On the eve of the closure of the Universal Exposition 2025, held in Osaka (Japan), Chile was distinguished by the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE, for its acronym in French), the organizing entity of the Universal Expositions, with the bronze medal in the Thematic Development category for modular pavilions (types B and X).

The recognition highlights the narrative and conceptual quality of the national exhibition proposal, which included the "Makün: The Mantle of Chile", and presented 20 thematic weeks linked to the subtheme assigned to the country: "Saving Lives".

"We are very proud that the Chile Pavilion has been recognized at the Expo Osaka 2025. This recognition validates how we authentically developed the theme 'Saving Lives' and connected it with our identity. Our pavilion integrated the Makün designed by two talented Chilean architects with immersive experiences and diverse content during each of our thematic weeks, which built a vision about how to contribute to a better life, responding to the Expo's motto: 'Designing the Future Society for Our Lives'.

This award belongs to all Chileans and encourages us to continue showcasing the best of our country to the world," comments Paulina Nazal, General Commissioner of Chile for Expo Osaka 2025, who received the award at the ceremony.

This new recognition adds to those obtained by Chile in previous editions of the Universal Expo, such as Shanghai 2010 and Milan 2015, solidifying the country's track record in this type of event.

Tomorrow, after 184 days of activities, the national participation in the Expo Osaka 2025 organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ProChile concludes, with more than two million national and international visitors, and a daily average of 12 thousand people who toured the Chilean pavilion.
