Organized by Hatch Blue in collaboration with Conservation International Ventures, the program aims to support women founders developing innovative solutions in sustainable aquaculture, marine biotechnology, and ocean conservation. The initiative will take place in Mexico, followed by 12 months of business support. Applications are open until November 7, 2026.

The third edition of the Latnord conference "The Nordic Countries and Latin America: Sustainable Mining" will be held on November 23 and 24 in Santiago and will bring together representatives from Codelco, Antofagasta Minerals, Collahuasi, Anglo American, VTT of Finland, and the Luleå University of Technology, among others.
A team from Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) used CRISPR to remove a tiny fragment of MALAT1 RNA, a molecule that plays a key role in gastric and breast cancer. By doing so, the researchers managed to destabilize the entire molecule and slow tumor progression.
The collaboration seeks to adapt Copperbody® textile technology, originally developed for veterinary applications, to the needs of injured penguins admitted to rehabilitation centers. The initiative is currently in the development and evaluation stage.
