The "Mini Speedster," crafted by brothers Hugo and Tomás González, will represent Chile in the regional event after standing out for its authenticity, creativity, and garage spirit.
In an exciting day held at the Líder supermarket in La Reina, before more than 5 thousand people, the "Mini Speedster" created by brothers Hugo and Tomás González was crowned champion of the national stage of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour 2025. The competition gathered more than a dozen customized vehicles that fought for the right to represent Chile in the Latin American stage of the prestigious global contest.
The winning project captivated the demanding jury thanks to its perfect combination of authenticity, creativity, and genuine garage spirit. "Mini Speedster" is the result of more than 5 years of dedication, standing out for taking an iconic design and completely transforming it into a new original car, fundamental characteristics that define the essence of a true Hot Wheels.
With this victory, Chile continues its journey towards international glory. The winning vehicle will now compete in the Latin American Grand Final and, if it prevails, will advance to the Global Final, where it could become an official 1:64 scale Hot Wheels model that will be sold worldwide.
The event was a true automotive celebration that gathered motor enthusiasts, customization fanatics, collectors and families. The attendees enjoyed multiple parallel activities such as the Mattel Brick Shop space for construction lovers or the special exhibit of "La Liebre" from Cars & Coffee, among others.
The jury team that had the difficult mission of choosing the winner consisted of Pablo "Pableke" Jiménez, a Chilean influencer known for his passion for motorsports; Franklin Reyes, a Chilean pilot who is a national and international drift champion; Osvaldo Zorzano, a designer and professor at the University of Chile, and Maurizio Moschini and Pablo Olmos from Cars & Coffee, creators of "La Liebre" and last year's global winners.
