LEGO® shines at the "Oscars" of the toy and conquers two Toy of the Year® Awards 2026
The Danish brand was one of the main highlights at the Toy of the Year Awards, being recognized for its innovation, creativity and ability to connect generations through play.
New York once again became the epicenter of playful innovation with the celebration of the Toy of the Year® (TOTY®) 2026 Awards, considered the highest recognitions in the toy industry worldwide. In this scenario, LEGO stood out as one of the most relevant brands of the night, obtaining two important distinctions that solidify its position as a global reference in the sector.
The ceremony, held at the Pier Sixty venue and bringing together nearly 800 industry professionals, recognized the Danish brand in the categories Construction Toy of the Year, for its LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex set, and Kidult Toy of the Year, for the LEGO Game Boy. Both products were valued for their ability to combine design, storytelling, and technology in gameplay experiences that stimulate creativity and learning.
Under the slogan "Champions of Play," the gala not only celebrated excellence in innovation, but also the social commitment of the sector, raising more than one million dollars for The Toy Foundation. In this context, the double recognition of LEGO reflects its sustained contribution to the development of responsible, inclusive proposals aligned with the latest trends in children's and youth entertainment.
