Non-alcoholic wine and worm oil stand out in Chilean offer at Brazil's organic products fair

A group of nine national producers attended a new edition of Biofach, the fair dedicated to the most important organic market in Brazil, held in Sao Paulo.

Organic wines, organic almonds, frozen and canned foods, digital marketing services for small and medium organic producers, and worm oil summarize the offering presented by ProChile at a new edition of Biofach 2025, the fair dedicated to organic products held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Portal Wines, Andean Woman, AOA Chile, Viña Los Quiscos, Antartic Gate, Veramonte Organic Vineyards, Almendros Casablanca, and Dellwi Oil were the brands present at the fair, whose representatives received support with business contacts, field visits, and other networking and training activities on the market, provided by the ProChile team.

Back in the country, Juan Enrique Aguirre, commercial director of Portal Wines, a vineyard with more than 50 years of trajectory and that within its portfolio boasts various products of varieties such as Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay In addition to incorporating a line of non-alcoholic wines targeting younger generations, shares his experience, saying "it was a very interesting and beneficial opportunity for us to raise our profile and penetrate even further into this important market. We believe we have achieved valuable contacts to further develop our exports there in Brazil".

Non-Alcoholic Wine and Earthworm Oil

One of the novelties of the vineyard at Biofach was the presentation of its de-alcoholized wine. In addition to promoting seven lines from our portfolio, we introduced Azero 0°, a new de-alcoholized wine, tailored for the new generations and experiencing significant growth in North America and Asia. We also took the opportunity to increase contacts and develop new business partnerships for the import and distribution in Brazil of our entire wine line. Thanks to our high-quality products, commercial support and attractive prices, we hope to strengthen and maximize long-term relationships.

Another product that caught attention in Brazil was the worm oil. Nelson Bizama, partner and creator of Dellwi Oil, shared his experience: "If we talk in percentages, I think it was a thousand percent... It was fantastic! First, because of the office people, their support, their closeness, everything was fantastic... They guided me with translations, took me to visit a potential client, and introduced me to more", he says.

Regarding the public's response, Bizama says that the oil of minoca, as his product is translated into Portuguese, "was also very good. Unfortunately, due to regulatory issues, he could not sell, otherwise, the quantity he would have sold would have been huge".

"Thanks to the connections made, the next step will be to obtain the necessary permissions to enter Brazil and be able to sell. The people who were introduced to me will take care of that issue, I don't need to worry about it. They will do the studies to enter Brazil," says Bizama. "Regardless, in Chile the product is registered with the Public Health Institute, ISP, and also with the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients), which allows it to sell in over 50 countries globally."

On the challenge of entering a market like Brazil, Bizama, laughing, says that "unfortunately I'm going to have to start working... (laughs). I only have gratitude for the ProChile team in Brazil, I truly am very grateful for their work".

The Commercial Director of ProChile in Brazil, Hugo Corales, highlighted Chile's participation in Biofach as a offering that adequately responds to new demands of the local consumer, who is more concerned about attributes such as sustainability and more aware of care for the environment and healthy living. However, at the same time, it is an offer that complements the traditional presence of Chilean foods such as fruit, wine, and salmon, but in organic production, on a smaller scale and from smaller producers.

Between January and May 2025, non-copper and non-lithium exports from Chile to Brazil totaled more than US$ 1.189 billion, positioning this market as the third destination for these shipments behind China and the United States.
