Marielys Navarro (CEO) and Rut Martínez (CTO) developed a solution that could mark a before and after in the way school coexistence is managed: it is Edumokia School.

This is a software based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) that accelerates the psycho-socioemotional diagnosis of students between 10 and 18 years old, allowing for early intervention in situations of violence. "We have developed a supportive solution for school living management teams, which reduces the time for psycho-socioemotional diagnosis of students by 80%," highlights Marielys Navarro.

The solution has been validated by child and youth psychologists and, in addition, the company has received support from Corfo, through the Semilla Inicia and Expande funding lines, as well as from the international accelerator Techstars with its program (Founder Catalyst).

""Edumokia School with its own technology combines screening, dashboards, AI, and management, provides a friendly, gamified, and customizable interface, allows mass data processing and the delivery of real-time reports to enhance timely interventions. This transforms the management of school coexistence teams, aiding early detection and resulting in more time for interventions and better decision-making based on real and objective data"," Marielys supplements.

Edumokia School is available for private and subsidized schools throughout all of Chile, with grades from 4th elementary to 4th high school, through annual subscription plans that vary depending on the level of customization and additional services. The institutions must have a budget or subsidy to carry out actions from their Educational Improvement Plan (PME).

"Institutions must have school coexistence and psychosocial management teams, as well as interest in emotional well-being, educational innovation, and data analytics. They must also have technological infrastructure for Internet connectivity and computers," points out Marielys Navarro.

For its CEO, what sets Edumokia apart from other solutions is "that the majority of competitors focus on bullying or cyberbullying prevention, whereas our platform concentrates on comprehensive psychosocial risks and the methodical implementation of prevention in school mental health. Ultimately, we offer tracking and management, not just early warnings, all with a high level of usability and easy adoption", he points out.

International Projection and Next Steps.

Currently, the team led by Marielys Navarro and Rut Martínez is preparing for a pre-seed investment round and an international expansion to Colombia, hand in hand with their strategic partner Corazón de Niño, a B Corp certified company aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 4. "We have established strategic alliances that help us in acquiring and increasing customers, and on the other hand, we have a partner who will assist us in the soft landing for our internationalization process," Navarro emphasizes.

When asked about her relationship with the entrepreneurship support platform of the University of Concepción, the leader of Edumokia indicated that the most notable aspect of the support from IncubaUdeC was the professionalism of their project executives, who helped us save time on administrative tasks and inquiries to Corfo. In addition to the network of mentors we had access to, Marielys concluded.
