LG Channels Expands Portfolio in Europe and Launches Flagship Channel Under LG Brand
Sony One Channels now available in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
This week, LG TV users across Europe will have access to new free ad-supported TV streaming (FAST) channels, including Sony Pictures’ Sony One Channels and a wide range of Lionsgate channels.
With Sony One Channels now available in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, and Lionsgate channels available in the UK, Germany and France, LG Channels and LG Smart TV users will be able to enjoy more high-quality content.
Available Sony channels will include Sony One Comedy, featuring fan favorite, Seinfeld; Sony One Thriller TV, with shows like Breaking Bad; Sony One Faves, with all-time classics, such as Bewitched; Sony One Comedy HITS, with classic comedies such as Step Brothers and Jerry Maguire; Sony One Action HITS, dedicated to action-adventure films, from blockbusters to critically acclaimed films, such as District 9 and Men in Black; Sony One Shark Tank1: One of the most successful reality shows in the world, Sony One Dragons’ Den2: The reality format behind Shark Tank, Sony One Blacklist3: with the crime thriller series.

Thanks to the partnership with Lionsgate, British and German viewers will be able to enjoy for the first time4 of licensed content for the newly launched premium channel LG 1, operated under the same brand of the firm. This will include exclusive rights to such acclaimed series as Wong & Winchester and Paul T. Goldman5. Other premium shows offered will include the Critics Choice Television Award-winning series Nashville and Boss, starring Golden Globe winner Kelsey Grammer. Lionsgate’s new channels will include: MovieSphere, Wicked Tuna, Are We There Yet, Anger Management, Ghost Hunters, Grace & Frankie and Nashville.
Loaded with a wide range of fantastic movie channels (such as Great!, Popflix, MovieSphere, Netzkino, Moviedome, WeDo Movies, Rakuten, and Pluto TV) and movies to watch on demand, LG Channels has something for everyone.
Beyond the magic of cinema, LG Channels covers viewer favorites such as FIFA+ international football, Tennis Channel great tennis, or MTRSPT1 live motorsport racing. In addition, chess grandmasters face off on Chess TV, with more content added all the time.
LG Channels is available on LG Smart TVs (LG Smart TV models from 2016 onwards) and can be easily accessed by pressing the dedicated key on the LG Magic Remote or via the home screen.
LG Channels has consistently ranked among the top five most visited apps on LG Smart TVs in all regions where the service is offered, attracting an increasing number of viewers. With its new channels, the service is poised to offer more high-quality content for users to discover and enjoy.
