The Womens Financing Route: call seeks to train 20 entrepreneurs from Maule to scale their business ideas

The initiative, promoted by Imagine’s ecosystem and alliances area, in conjunction with Remaster, Universidad Santo Tomás and Women Board Up, calls on women entrepreneurs with startups and scientific-technological ventures in the initial stage, to boost their business models, bring them closer to public and private financing, and integrate opportunities with companies in the area.

Maule, April 2024. With the mission of turning the Maule Region into one of the poles of innovation with women leaders in Chile, an initiative was recently launched that seeks to promote twenty entrepreneurs with dynamic and scalable business ideas, to formalize their startups and integrate into the regional business ecosystem.

From now on, the call for the program La Ruta del Financiamiento Femenina/Maule, an acceleration program led by the innovation orchestrator Imagine, in conjunction with Remaster, Santo Tomás, Women Board Up and the support of Corfo, has begun.

The selection involves accelerating a score of startups or innovative ideas led by women, with an accompaniment program that seeks to bring these businesses to formalization and introduction with the private and public ecosystem. Specifically, it is designed for women founders or non-founders who own more than 50% of the share capital, with projects in the idea stage with sales of less than 25,000 U.F or that are not formalized and have no sales, but that are innovative and have a high growth potential or the potential to become an EBCT (Scientific-Technological Based Entrepreneurship).

Francisca Rojas Damianic, Director of Ecosystem and Alliances at Imagine, points out that “the idea is to impact the entire region, whether in Cauquenes, Curicó, Linares or Talca. This first instance seeks for 20 entrepreneurs to receive the information and methodologies necessary to scale their startups, polish their business model, bring sources of financing and include them in the circle of companies in the area interested in innovation.”

The monitoring and advice of the project led by the Imagine Group will have an online training process, as well as a face-to-face one, whose place will be the headquarters of the Santo Tomás University in Talca, the same scenario of the final DemoDay to be held at the end of the year.

To participate, entrepreneurs must go to the Imagine website (https://grupo-imagine.com/convocatorias/la-ruta-delfinanciamiento-femenino/) and follow the registration instructions, which end on June 30.
